  • WHY THE NAME "KOLT"?"
    Honestly, puns gives us the giggles; honorary kolt member, welcome to the kolt, candles that make scents.
  • WHERE IS KOLT PRODUCTS MADE?
    All of our KOLT products are made in Sydney, Australia. We make sure to source all of our materials from Australia also to support the local economy.
  • DOES KOLT TEST ON ANIMALS?
    Absolutely not! All products have been tested on friends and family.
  • WHY ARE YOUR PRODUCTS LIMITED?
    We want to keep our batches as small as possible to ensure that each time we send out products, they haven’t been sitting around for weeks or months. Currently with the Covid-19 pandemic, we haven’t been able to source our materials as freely as we use to, so there are some delays with production. And as a mum of two under two, it has been quite chaotic. But if there is anything you must have, please feel free to email or message via Instagram. We're always happy to work out a special request.

  • NO MORE FLOWERS, GLITTER AND GOLD IN YOUR CANDLES?"
    As much as we loved adding flowers to each jar, and how aesthetically pleasing it all was, we have decided not to use them anymore as we want to minimise the risk of a fire hazard as much as possible. But our terrarium range allows us to continue adding cute flowers, because they are all made out of 100% soy wax!
  • WHAT DO I DO WITH MY PACKAGING?
    We encourage repurposing and reusing any material as much as you can. But you can also compost/recycle these following items Compost me (at home, which may take longer, or find your closest local community compost): Any packaging peanuts. The mailer bags (please remove label as they are not compostable at the moment and cut bag into small pieces) Tissue paper Shredded paper Packing tape Any eco stickers (will be labelled as compostable) Recycle me: Boxes Jars and bottles (not candle jars) Plant me: Plant any plantable paper before 3 years.

  • WHAT TYPE OF WAX DOES KOLT USE FOR CANDLES?
    We use 100% soy wax in two different forms, a softer creamy soy wax for our candle jars, and a harder form of soy wax for our Maja candles.
  • WHAT TYPE OF WICKS DO YOU USE?
    We are currently using cotton wicks
  • WOULD YOU CONSIDER MAKING WOOD WICK CANDLES
    Yes! we are actually planning on making some wooden wick candles soon!! please follow our instagram for our future releases.
  • HOW LONG DO MY CANDLES BURN FOR?
    Our terrarium candles can burn for approximately 40 hours depending candle maintenance, so please trim your wicks, make sure the first burn has a melt pool that reaches all the way to the edge, and not to burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • WHAT DO I DO WITH MY FINISHED CANDLES?
    We aren’t able to refill your jars anymore as we don’t want to risk any potential fire danger. We are looking into refillable candle jars for the future. Unfortunately, also, glass candle jars aren’t able to be recycled either. So, we encourage re-purposing your jars by cleaning out the left over wax.
  • HOW LONG DOES KOLT REED DIFFUSERS LAST?
    Our 200ml reed diffusers should last for approximately 5-6 months, but it's lifespan can be affected by things such as central heating, air conditioning, open and closed doors, dehumidifiers and how often you flip your reeds
  • HOW DO I USE MY NEW REED DIFFUSER?
    1) Carefully remove cork from bottle, untie reeds and insert into bottle. We recommend using 6-10 reeds depending on how strong of an aroma you want. 2) Use a coaster or plate under the diffuser bottle to keep any oil drips from damaging your surfaces. Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth. 3) Place your reed diffuser somewhere suitable in your home in a spot where it won't be knocked over and out of reach from children and pets. 4) Carefully flip your reeds around after the first hour to saturate the other end of the reeds.
  • ARE KOLT REED DIFFUSERS ECO-FRIENDLY?
    It certainly is! We make sure to source the most ethical choices when it comes to all of our products, and the reed diffusers are no different. It is plant-derived and yet is still super fragrant.
  • WHAT DO I DO WITH EMPTY BOTTLES?
    You can wash the bottles out with soapy water, and repurpose, or recycle. But keep an eye on our Instagram page as we’re hoping to have some refill options available in the future.
  • WILL MY NUDI-TEA EXPIRE?
    We don’t have a formal expiration date but, we recommend you use the product within 6 months of opening. We do strongly suggest you keep them out of direct sunlight and store at room temperature or below. If it smells weird or looks discolored, please discontinue use to be safe.
  • ARE YOUR INGREDIENTS ORGANIC?
    We try to source as many organic ingredients as we can.
  • ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN FRIENDLY?
    Yes! Absolutely! No palm, No animal testing, and no animal by-product.
  • CAN THE JARS BE RECYCLED AFTER?
    Yes
  • WHAT IF I GET AN ALLERGIC REACTION?
    Please read the all the ingredients carefully before use, and if you have any concerns, please consult with your health care professional. A patch test is always recommended to do before use. Just pour a little bit into a bowl or cup, add some warm water, let dissolve and apply behind your ear or on the inside of your elbow for 15 mins.

    Unfortunately once your order has been placed, we’re unable to cancel or make changes to your order.

    Email me at contact@koltco.com where you can send us your details including your order number. The more information you give them, the sooner they can try and change your information. Make sure you enter ‘Urgent: Change wrong address’ in the subject line. we try to be super efficient and usually send out packages as soon as an order arrives. If you email us with a change of shipping address please keep in mind that your order may already have been dispatched, so be as careful as possible to provide the correct information when placing your order.
  • DOES KOLT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
    Unfortunately at this stage, we are only shipping within Australia.
