Candle Care
Lighting a candle may sound super simple; and it is! But there are just a few little tips you need to remember to ensure that your KOLT candles burn to its optimum performance.

Safety First

Make sure that your candle is sitting on a stable, heat resistant surface

Keep away from any draughts. Draughts can cause a fire hazard, uneven burning, can cause smoke and soot, and diminish the scent throw.

Make sure that the flame is a teardrop shape, and standing upright. A flickering flame could be due to the wick being too long, or a draught. If this occurs, extinguish flame, let cool, move to another place in the room and/or trim the wick.

A burning candle should not be used as a nightlight or left burning when you fall asleep.

Do not burn the candle if the container is cracked, chipped, scratched or damaged in any way.

Always read the warning label at the base of your candle prior to lighting.

Burn candle within sight. Never leave burning candle unattended.

Ensure your candle is extinguished, the soy wax is solid and the container is cold before handling. You should never move a burning candle.

Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.

Do not use the lid to extinguish candle.

Trim your wick
​
1. Trim wick to approximately 5mm in length before every use, removing any "mushrooms"
2. The first burn is the most important and will determine the life of your candle. Burn your KOLT candles for a minimum of 1 hour and ensure that the wax pool reaches the edge of the candle. This will prevent tunnelling and gives the candles a longer life.
3. Keep wax pool free of trimmings and debris.

Burn time
​
1. Do not burn for longer than 2 hours for the small candles, and 3 hours for the larger candles. Burning for too long can cause the glass to crack.
2. Allow to cool for 2 hours

Putting out your candle
​
1. Extinguish your candle with care ensuring that hot wax does not splash you, Use a candle snuffer if you have one (or safely dip wick into melted wax and then straighten wick)
Storing your Candles

Store your KOLT candles in a cool, dark and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight as it may discolour your candles.

Learn when to say goodbye
​
There will come a time when you’ll have to say goodbye to your beloved candle before you even want to. We recommend extinguishing and discarding your KOLT candle once the wax falls below the half-inch mark (1.27cm)

Letting the candle burn all the way to the bottom is dangerous as it causes the glass to become very hot. Glass becomes very stressed from constant heating and cooling of the wax and it weakens over time. So burning to the bottom can cause the glass to crack or in some cases it could explode.
Reed Diffuser Care
How do I set up my new diffuser?

1. Carefully remove cork from bottle, untie reeds and insert into bottle. We recommend using 6-10 reeds depending on how strong of an aroma you want.
2. Use a coaster or plate under the diffuser bottle to keep any oil drips from damaging your surfaces. Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth.
3. Place your reed diffuser somewhere suitable in your home in a spot where it won't be knocked over and out of reach from children and pets.
4. Carefully flip your reeds around after the first hour to saturate the other end of the reeds.
5. Reed diffusers will last approximately 6 months, depending on the surrounding conditions it is kept in.
What safety concerns do you need to know?

1. Do NOT light the diffuser reeds – the oils are flammable!
2. Keep out of reach of kids and pets
3. Place on a flat, even surface. Avoid areas where it can be knocked over.
4. Keep away from electrical appliances in the event it does get knocked over
5. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight as it will evaporate faster.
6. We recommend using gloves when handling the oil-soaked reeds, if skin comes into contact with oils, wash area thoroughly.
7. Wipe any spills immediately with a damp cloth
8. Do not swallow and avoid eye contact.
Nudi-Tea Care
How to take the most relaxing bath ever.

1. Fill your bathtub with water as desired

2. Sprinkle as little or as much into the reusable muslin bag as you like and seep into the warm water.
​
3. Strip into your birthday suit and relax.
​
4. Squeeze, rub me all over your body, open me up and let me float around you.
​
5. Once done, make sure to scoop out as much of me out as possible to throw into the bin. Although I am natural, I don't want to be clogged in the drain.

6. Just be extra careful as surfaces may be slippery.
​
7. Rinse the muslin bag and let air dry.
​
8. Please recycle our bath buddie jars after you've finished.
What safety concerns do you need to know?

1. Surfaces my be slippery after use
2. Store me in a cool dry area away from direct sunlight
3. Please read the all the ingredients carefully before use, and if you have any concerns, please consult with your health care professional.
4. A patch test is always recommended to do before use. just pour a little bit into a bowl or cup, add some warm water, let dissolve and apply behind your ear or on the inside of your elbow for 15 mins.
5. Use within 6 months of opening.
